Louis N. Cangiano  Jr., 27, of Turner Avenue, Riverside, died unexpectedly on November 19, 2013.

A lifelong resident of Riverside, he was the beloved son of Louis N. and Anna Marie (Larisa) Cangiano Sr. of Riverside.  Louis was a graduate of East Providence High School Class of 2004 and received an Associate’s degree in computerized drafting from Johnson & Wales University Class of 2006.

Besides his parents, he is survived by two sisters; Ashley A. Cangiano and Sarah A. Cangiano, three brothers; Michael L. Cangiano, Kevin N. Cangiano and Nicholas J. Cangiano, all of Riverside, maternal grandmother; Rose Marie Larisa of Barrington, paternal grandmother; Deolinda Cangiano of Westport, Mass., a niece; Ryleigh and a nephew; Hayden.  He was the grandson of the late Robert Larisa and Louis J. and Jacqueline Cangiano.

His funeral will be held on Saturday, Nov. 23, from the W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home, 350 Willett Ave., Riverside, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once.
