Little League baseball returns to Warren Saturday

Warren Little League will kick off its 61st season with an Opening Day parade and ceremony this Saturday, April 27.

The parade starts at 9 a.m. from Joyce Street and heads south on Main to St. Mary of the Bay Church. From there, it travels down to Jannitto Memorial Field on Water Street.

A ceremony follows and features awards and the introduction of players, and concludes with numerous games played at Jannitto and Warren Recreation fields throughout the day. The celebration will be covered by Full Channel TV for a later broadcast.

"We hope town residents, family and friends will show their support and line the parade route to cheer our kids on and later come enjoy some fun baseball," said the Little League's Kevin Ferias.
