Little Compton police: trash dumper told to stop

Monday, Oct. 1

A resident reported at 12:26 p.m. that someone was dumping their trash in town barrels at the Adamsville ball field on a weekly basis. Police contacted the suspect, who agreed that she would properly dispose of her trash in the future.

Wednesday, Oct. 3

At 6:24 p.m., a resident reported finding an abandoned mountain bike at South Shore Beach. Police recovered the bike and took it to the station.

Thursday, Oct. 4

Daniel Langlais, 43, of 54 Old Stone Church Road, Little Compton, was taken into custody under a warrant for breaking and entering and larceny from the Tiverton Police Department, and turned over to Tiverton police, who charged him.
