Little Compton Antiques Festival & Classic Auto Show this weekend

For the second year, the Little Compton Antiques Festival will include a Classic Auto Show. A successful debut of this new addition in 2017 drew an impressive array of cars ranging from the 1920s to the 1980s. Held on the scenic grounds of the Little Compton Historical Society, the 11th Annual Antiques Festival is a must-attend for collectors as it features dealers offering high-quality items from around New England. The event kicks off with a Preview Party on Friday, August 3 from 6 to 8 pm. Guests will enjoy early buying privileges in a festive atmosphere featuring live music, a complimentary beverage and sunset supper, along with a sneak preview of antique cars on display Saturday.

WHERE: Little Compton Historical Society, 548 West Main Road, Little Compton
WHEN: Saturday, August 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with the car show starting at 11 a.m.

Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
