Letter: Show your toll anger —pack that transponder away

To the editor:

Regarding the imbecilic 10-cent tolls, recently implemented, for crossing the Sakonnet River Bridge  …

May I very strongly suggest that anyone, from any state, who has a transponder, especially a Rogues Island one, take it down and do not use it as you cross the Sakonnet River Bridge from either direction.

Why pay the lousy 10 cents when everyone can, if we all agree to do so as a really strong show of protest and support against these tolls, send a very clear message to Mr. David Darlington, and his minions at the R.I Turnpike and Bridge Authority that Now that is a much more common sense form of protest — our version of the burning of the Gaspee or The Boston Tea Party!
