Letter: School cuts might still be coming to Barrington

To the editor:

As we collectively hold our breaths, waiting for the RI House and Senate to resolve the 2018 Budget, there remains the possibility that last year’s budget will remain intact. According to the Providence Journal, Barrington stands to lose over $265,000 in state aid. Should the school committee be requesting a Special Town Meeting to restore funds? Otherwise, most all of the dire cuts articulated at the annual Financial Town Meeting will have to occur.
