Letter: No trash in sight on local beach

To the editor:

In the Sept. 4 letter to the editor objecting about the ban on cigarette butts on the beach, I go to Barrington Beach and think it is a very clean beach.

I have never seen any empty or half-full soda cans or bottles on the beach.

I think it is a good idea to ban cigarette smoking at all beaches. It is a health issue.

At the beaches I go to, everyone picks up their own trash.

Keep up the great work Rhode Islanders, your beaches are beautiful and clean.

Susan Tucker
