“NEWS BRIEF
Share your thoughts about financial town meeting
Barrington residents are invited to share their opinions about the financial town meeting process during a public workshop on Thursday, Nov. 9. The workshop will be held in the town council chambers at 7 p.m. Barrington Town Council President Michael Carroll said residents can speak openly about the FTM process, sharing any praise or criticism they may have.”
If any of you feel that these financial town meetings are archaic and can only represent a very small portion of the voters in this town because of its outmoded format, which tends to lean towards special interest groups who place their binding vote at that meeting and nowhere else and, if you feel your voices are not represented in the normal way by placing your individual votes at your assigned polling places, you need to be heard.
That is your right. Protect it.
