I went online to see if other towns provide town council supporting documents to the public on the Internet. I stopped after viewing these documents from Warren, Barrington and Portsmouth. It quickly became clear to me that Bristol is embarrassingly behind our neighbors in the transparency department.

A public document should be easily accessible. Transparency is working in our neighboring towns, so why not in Bristol?

I work hard to pay my taxes, which are not cheap. I shouldn’t have to take time out of work to go to Town Hall to “see a guy” to look at a public document that I could easily view online.
