Lemony Snicket coming to Rhode Island

Though Lemony Snicket is on the schedule, an unforeseen event may require his "lowly emissary" Daniel Handler, to represent at the Rhode Island Festival of Children's Books & Authors, which will be held from 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19 at the Lincoln School, 301 Butler Ave. Providence. Also expected to appear: Avi, Sharon Creech, Kimberly Newton Fusco, Adam Gidwitz, Bill Harley, Laurie Keller, Jarrett J. Krosoczka, Kate Messner, Gregory Mone, Susan Rich, Susannah Richards, Dan Santat, and Chris Van Allsburg. Open to the public; $ 5 at the door. For more information visit www.lincolnschool.org.
