Last chance anti-toll e-mail push sought

Posted

With a decision on the budget — and bridge tolls — hours away, anti-bridge toll advocates are calling on supporters to let House Speaker Gordon Fox know of their concerns.

"Please folks, do what you can to send an email to Speaker Gordon D. Fox asking him to include the provisions of House Bill 6210 into the 2014 Budget" — 100 emails in 24 hours would be a start, wrote Ray Berberick, one of the organizers.

Emails are usually answered by staff. Please call Rep Fox's office directly @ 222-2447 and ask that he support bill 6210 regarding Sakonnet River Bridge tolls. Office is being bombarded with calls, so let's keep the pressure on! Negotiations are continuing on costs to be spread across state's drivers and cost is coming down.
