Karl Joseph O'Connor, aged 73 years, born the 10th of August, 1944, died on the 2nd of December, 2017. Karl, an outstanding basketball and track athlete in his hometown of Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, grew up alongside his younger sisters Kathy and Peggy.

Karl met his future wife Judith Anne Quirk while attending University of Western Ontario and eventually moved to the United States to pursue his business career in computer hardware and software. He was a lover of technology, travel, history and spending time with his family. He and Judy raised their two children in Fair Haven, N.J., Providence, R.I., and lastly Little Compton, R.I. where he would enjoy vistas of the Sakonnet River and Atlantic Ocean as well as frequent family visits from Kathy, Peggy, her husband Mike, and sister-in-law Mary.

He will be dearly missed by his many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Karl is survived by his wife Judy, son Mark and his spouse Johanna, grandsons Jack, Colin, and Ryan, son Cameron and granddaughter Emma.

Services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 12, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Church in Douro, Ontario, Canada. Memorial contributions may be made in Karl’s memory to the American Syringomyelia & Chiari Alliance Project. http://asap.org/index.php/donate/
