Judy Andrade, 68, of 19 Meadow Lane passed away on Aug. 27,2013 at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River.

She was born in Providence, Nov. 27, 1944, the daughter of the late Frank & Mary (Silva) Torres.

She leaves behind a sister, Beverly Torres, two daughters, Patricia Demers and Kimberly Andrade and two granddaughters Lauren and Rachael Demers.

There will be a funeral Mass at St. Elizabeth's Church, 577 Wood St. on Saturday, Sept. 14 at 11 a.m. The family requests that in lieu of  flowers, donations may be made to the Friends of the Bristol Animal Shelter in her name as she loved animals and adopted several pets from local shelters throughout her life.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
