Joseph Lou Marchand, 60, of Warren, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Hospice in Providence.
Born in Nova Scotia, a son of Theresa (Landry) Marchand and the late Wilfred Marchand, he was employed by Carol Cable and Dixon, and also was a co-owner of Amigos Restaurant. He was avid softball player known as “Sweet Lou” for Moe’s Tap for over 15 years. He enjoyed bowling, golfing and time with his children at the casino.
He was the loving father of Jason Marchand and Sherry Callahan, both of Warren; , and father-in-law of Laurie Marchand of Warwick and Sean Callahan of Warren. He wa the grandfather of Kaylee and Ayden Callahan, and brother of Lisa Rene, Thomas W. Marchand, William J. Marchand and James R. Marchand, all of Warren.
Arrangements were with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road, with a Mass of Christian burial held Wednesday, Jan. 30, in St. Jean Baptiste Mission Church. Burial followed in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery.
