Joseph A. Cintron, 25, of Providence

Joseph A. Cintron, 25, of Providence and formerly of Bristol, died unexpectedly, Monday, Dec. 4, 2017, at home. 

He was born in Woonsocket, R.I. ,a son of the late Maria Liberta Pacheco. Joe was a customer service representative for the Tunstall Americas Company in Pawtucket for the last several months.

He has lived in Providence for the last six years, coming from Bristol. He was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth Church.

Joseph played soccer in his youth, and enjoyed football and basketball. He also liked playing video games.

He volunteered at homeless shelters, distributing food and clothing to people. Joe was very loyal to his friends and family, and he enjoyed spending time with his nieces.

Joe had attended NA and AA meetings at Serenity Maniacs of Cranston.

Joseph is survived by his sisters, Erica Tierney of Warren and Jennifer Tierney of Providence.

He was the uncle of Jordynne Machado, Miley Machado, and Jaizlynn Ramirez. 

Joe is also survived by his maternal aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was the maternal grandson of the late Maria Ilidia Pacheco.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017, at 11 a.m. in St. Elizabeth Church, 577 Wood St., Bristol. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground Bristol. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours are Friday, Dec. 8, from  to 7 p.m. at SMITH FUNERAL & MEMORIAL SERVICES, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren.
