Jose Caetano Medeiros, 81, of Bourne Street passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2013. He was the husband of Armanda (Ferreira) Medeiros.

Born in Remedios, St. Michael, he was the son of Francisco and Ascencao Medeiros.  In addition to his wife Armanda, he is survived by his children Luis Medeiros and his wife Nancy, Jose Medeiros and his wife Donna, John Medeiros and Lucia Floor; grandchildren Jaime Medeiros, Zachary Medeiros, Jordan Medeiros, Lynsey Medeiros, Jarrod Medeiros, Daylan Medeiros, Jillian Floor, Neeko Medeiros and Kendra Floor and great grandchildren Hunter Poole, Alexandra Medeiros and Jace Medeiros.  He was the brother of the late Maria de Medeiros, Manuel de Medeiros and Francisco de Medeiros.

Jose worked as a baker at Calise and Son in North Providence before retiring.

His funeral services were held June 17, 2013 from the George Lima Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Rev. Luis Garcia Dutra at St. Elizabeth Church. Liturgical readings were by Maggie Teixeira and Jillian Floor.  The Prayer of the Faithful was read by Lynsey Medeiros.  The offertory gifts were presented by Jillian Floor, Neeko Medeiros and Kendra Medeiros. Burial followed in St. Mary’s Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers were Jaime Medeiros, Jarrod Medeiros, Joe Teixeira, Zachary Medeiros, Daylan Medeiros and Jesse Ferreia.
