Jon Ulmschneider, 43, of Warren, died Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at Rhode Island Hospital.

Born in Fall River, a son of Carolyn (Robillard) Cichon of Warren and the late Robert Ulmschneider, he was a firefighter for the Town of Tiverton for many years. Mr. Ulmschneider was a member of the Warren Fire Department and past Captain of Rough and Ready Engine Company 5. He was a member of the International Association of Fire Fighters and the Tiverton Local 1703.

Besides his mother, he leaves two sisters, Jennifer Cartee of Dorchester, MA and Kristen Ulmschneider of Fall River; a brother, Robert C. Ulmschneider of Somerset; his stepmother, Elaine Ulmschneider; his step-grandfather, Henry Cichon; and his niece and nephew, Katie and Sam.

Arrangements are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren. Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 25 in St. Mary of the Bay Church, and burial followed in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery.
