Registration is now taking place for Linden Place’s Summer Arts Camp for Kids. This weekday creative camp, for campers ages 6-12, takes place on the historic grounds of Linden Place Mansion. Each day is packed with creative fun from 9 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. as campers participate in a variety of activities from costume making, games on the Linden Place grounds, creating and acting out skits, dancing, arts and crafts, to writing and singing music. Each one-week session is centered on a different theme and ends with a performance staged by campers for friends and family to enjoy! This year, an after-camp care program will be available for an additional price for the convenience of working parents.

This year, the theme for week one, July 9-13, is Near & Far, Around the World, Linden Place will take you around the world in an art-filled journey. Week two, July 16-20 is Wild, Wild West, a week full of cowboy/cowgirl fun filled with Western and Native American inspired activities.  Parents can register their child for one or both weeks of camp. Cost is $225 per week ($200 for Linden Place members).

Sign up early as each week will fill up quickly. To register, please visit the website, www.lindenplace.org or call 401/253-0390.

At Tiverton Four Corners Arts Center, 3852 Main Road, campers can sign up for Nature Camp from July 16-20 and Arts and Local Hisory Camp from July 23 to 27. Campers (ages 6-8 from 9 a.m. to noon & ages 9-12 from 1 to 4 p.m.) will explore the nature around Tiverton Four Corners, and also look at Four Corners Sculpture Park and discuss what is exciting about seeing art in nature. They will create outdoor installations, a collaborative mural, as well as other nature themed projects. $60 per camper - all materials included.

Art & Local History camp is for campers aged 9-13 and runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. In the morning campers will explore the architecture, history, and landscape of Tiverton Four Corners; go in to established buildings to observe the unique architecture, walk around and discuss what they see.
