Introduction to Tapestry Weaving (Beginners) with Linda Rhynard

Mondays, March 11th - April 1st | 9:00 am - 11:30 am | 4 weeks

$215 BAM Members | $225 Non-Members

This class is for those who have always wanted to learn to weave, to learn a new art form and would want to create a small wall hanging that integrates basic Tapestry Techniques. This Four week class will include: Introduction to Weaving and Basic Tapestry Weaving. Skills to be covered will include: warping the loom, basic tapestry techniques, finishing the piece- removal from the loom and finishing options, design discussions for future weaving projects, and a list for creating a basic Weaving toolkit. Printed materials will be supplied for reference. Price includes the loom and all materials required for your first project.

All classes and workshops require pre-registration. No drop-ins accepted, unless otherwise indicated. Payment must be secured in advance to hold your spot. Please register with Traci at 401-253-4400 or info@bristolartmuseum.org.

Classes and workshops can be paid by cash or check only. Please make checks payable to the appropriate instructor above. Registration fees can be left at the Museum (10 Wardwell Street, Bristol,RI) or mailed to Bristol Art Museum at P.O. Box 42, Bristol, RI, 02809.

PLEASE NOTE: The Museum may cancel a program with 7 days - 48 hours notice due to low enrollment. Students will be notified of cancellations by email or phone and receive a full refund. Registrants who cancel within 1 week of their start will not receive a reimbursement of any kind.
