Huskies to play in D-III Championship, beats Middletown 54-51


The Mt. Hope Huskies boys’ basketball team will vie for the Division III Championship on Sunday, March 9, after they defeated Middletown 54-51 in a semi-final battle on Friday.

The two teams went into the semis with identical 15-3 league records, each hoping for a spot in Sunday’s D-III Championship game.

The championship will be held at Providence College on March 9 at 1:30 p.m. when the Huskies will face Juanita Sanchez who defeated East Greenwich, 69-67 in their semi-final game on Friday.
