Hilda M. Robitaille, 87, Tiverton

Hilda M. (Romeo)  Robitaille, 87, formerly of Tiverton where she resided for over 55 years, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at Kindred Transitional Care & Rehabilitation Center-Crawford in Fall River. She was the wife of the late Joseph R. Robitaille.

Born in Waterbury, Conn., she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Frances (Botelho) Romeo. Hilda was a member of the ILGWU and worked in the garment industry until her retirement in 1987.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking. She also had a special love for gladiolus.

Hilda is survived by her children, Fran Ducas (Marshall) of Mexico, Me., Kenneth Robitaille (Marcia) of Tiverton,  Ann Marie Valentino (Steven) of Tiverton and Keith Robitaille (Nicole) of Warren; her five grandsons, Erik and Jason Ducas, Kyle, Aaron and Ryan Valentino; her three granddaughters, Michaela, Alexandra and Avery Robitaille; her five great granddaughters, Brittney, Wendy and Kitara Ducas, Stella Mae and Khloe Valentino; and she was also the great grandmother of the late Tommy Ethan Valentino; a brother,  Antone Romeo of Bella Vista, Ark.; two sister-in-laws, Kathryn Romeo of Holiday, Fla., and Norma Robitaille of Nashua, NH; as well as several nieces and nephews.  She was also the sister of the late Loretta Vellake, Florence Alexander and Antoinette Croteau.

Mrs. Robitaille’s funeral Mass was Saturday, Jan. 12, in Holy Ghost Church, 316 Judson St., Tiverton. Visitation was held in church prior to Mass.
