Gordon McKay Morrison, 51, of Bristol


Mr. Gordon McKay Morrison, age 51, of William Street, Bristol, died suddenly Thursday, November 1, 2012 at the Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. Born in Providence, and a lifelong Bristol resident, he was the son of Carolyn Ruth (Miranda) Morrison of Bristol and the late Gordon McKay Morrison.

Gordon was a self-employed woodworker in Bristol, a graduate of Bristol High School Class of 1979. He loved woodworking and sailing.

Besides his mother he will be sadly missed by his daughter, Sara Morrison, his sister, Laurie Ann Morrison, both of Bristol, his companion Meredith Miller of Wakefield and his beloved dog Sophie.

Funeral services from the Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol are Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 10 a.m. with a Graveside Service at 11 a.m. in St. Mary's Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol.

Visiting hours are Friday, November 9, 2012 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to International Yacht Restoration School 449 Thames Street, Newport, RI 02840.
