Gordon E. Maynard, 66, of Warren, passed away Monday, Nov. 5, 2012. He was the husband of Jean M. Maynard, to whom he had been married for 41 years.

Born in Utica, N.Y., the son of the late William and June (Palmer) Maynard, he was employed as a welder for c. Brito Construction for 27 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trips to New York, drawing, was a creative builder and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Besides his wife, he leaves three children, Peter Maynard and his wife Janet, Lisa MacVicar and her husband Mark, and David Maynard and his wife Debra; 10 grandchildren, Talya, Shaelyn, Avery, Brenna, Carlee, Zachary and Drew Maynard, Kierstyn and Jessica MacVicar and Ann Kessler; three great-grandsons, Matthew John, Liam and Nolan; two brothers, William and Gary Maynard; and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Gloria A. Brown and Luanne M. Maynard.

His funeral mass will be held Friday, Nov. 9, at a time to be determined in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 530 Gardners Neck Road, Swansea. Visiting hours are omitted. Contributions in his honor may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. Arrangements are in the care of Waring-Sullivan  at Birchcrest.
