Gift idea: River calendar even has tides

Back by popular demand is the Westport River Watershed Alliance’s annual calendar — 2014 edition. Each month is depicted with a photograph of the Westport landscape or river, and especially useful is the daily tide information. Photos were provided by local photographers.

The Alliance says the calendar is a perfect holiday gift for anyone, but especially helpful for boaters and shellfishermen who depend on the tide.

The calendar is $15 and available at the WRWA office, 1151 Main Road in Westport and at the following Westport businesses:  Partners, Country Woolens, Lees Market, The Westport Apothecary, and A.S. Deams. For an additional charge you can also order them on line at or by calling the office at 508-636-3016 and have them sent directly to your home or gift recipient.

Proceeds benefit the programs that support WRWA’s mission — to restore and protect the Westport River and its watershed.
