Gail (Chapman) Durfee, 72, of Riverside

Gail (Chapman) Durfee, 72, of Riverside, died peacefully on Aug. 21, 2013 surrounded by her loving family.  She was the wife of the late Edward M. Durfee.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Eugene and Rosetta (Mackenzie) Chapman, she was a lifelong resident of East Providence.

She is survived by three sons; John E. “Jed” Durfee and his companion Heidi Hagman of Rehoboth, Steven E. Durfee and his wife CoriLynn of Riverside and David E. Durfee and his wife Marietta of Orange, Calif., a daughter; Karen E. Bodell and her husband Michael of Riverside, a brother; Colin Chapman of Riverside and six grandchildren; Jason, Kaitlin, Madison, Jordan, Danielle and Daniel.

Her funeral will be held on Monday, Aug. 26, from the W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home, 350 Willett Ave. Riverside, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside. Burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
