Free flu vaccine clinics scheduled in East Bay


EAST BAY — In response to the increasing number of flu cases being reported in our area, several area towns, in partnership with R.I. Department of Health, are hosting free flu vaccination clinics in the coming days.

There is no charge for a flu shot at these community clinics, and people are not required to have health insurance. However, those with insurance are asked to bring their insurance cards.

Although some clinics will be held in schools, they are open to everyone and not just the students of these schools and the people who live in these communities.

Here are some upcoming flu vaccination clinics in our area:


Where: Mt. Hope High School, 199 Chestnut St.

When: 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 15

East Providence

Where: East Providence Senior Center, 610 Waterman Ave.

When: 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 22


Where: Portsmouth High School, 120 Education Lane (inside the old gym at the north end of the building)

When: 5-8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 13


Where: Tiverton Fire Station No. 2, 85 Main Road

When: 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 15


Where: Kickemuit Village Senior Housing, 20 Libby Lane

When: 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 14
