Franklin E. Brow III

Franklin E. Brow, III, 67, of Little Compton, passed away Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.  He was the son of the late Franklin E. Brow, Jr. and Alice G. (Rose) Brow.

Mr. Brow is survived by his two sons, Franklin E. Brow IV and his wife Leslie of Little Compton, and Jason Brow of Little Compton; his daughter, Jenny R. Tripp and her husband Donald of Westport; two brothers, Roger Brow of Little Compton and Raymond Brow of Portsmouth; six grandchildren, Mackenzie, Brett, Hailey, Cameron, Emma and Maya, as well as several nieces and nephews.
He is the brother of the late Alonzo Brow and Robert Brow.
Private arrangements are under the direction of the Potter Funeral Home, Westport.

Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
