Frances E. Silva, 83, Little Compton

Frances E. (LeBlanc) Silva, 83, of Little Compton, passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2018, at home.  She was the wife of the late Francisco M. Silva.

Mrs. Silva was born in Fall River, daughter of the late Archiebold and Catherine M. (Doubois) LeBlanc, and had resided in Little Compton for most of her life.

Prior to her retirement, she worked as head cook for the Little Compton School System for over 35 years. She was an avid bowler and played for the Little Compton Bowling League. She was a member of the Little Compton and Tiverton Senior Centers and a square dancer with the Town Howlers, Portsmouth. Mrs. Silva enjoyed crocheting, knitting and ceramics.

Survivors include her five daughters, Cynthia Silva, Deborah A. Iamarone of Fall River, Denise M. Castro of Fall River, Elaine F. Silva of Warren, and Karen J. Prezalar and her husband Marc of Fall River; a brother, Anthony J. LeBlanc of Worcester; along with six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and several She was the sister of the late Joseph V. LeBlanc.

Her funeral, to which relatives and friends are invited, will be Thursday, November 15, from the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Road, Westport, at 8:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Little Compton at 10 a.m.

Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5-8 p.m.

Interment will be in Our Lady of Fatima Cemetery, Little Compton.
