Florence Loihle passed away peacefully on December 29, 2018, at St. Elizabeth Manor in Bristol. She was 95.

Florence had been a resident of Little Compton since 1987. She was a parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Church in Little Compton. She actively participated in senior programs sponsored by the Little Compton Community Center and enjoyed venturing to historic and natural beauty sites throughout New England.

She was beloved by many in the community, including Dr. Arthur Ferrante, her long-time companion in retirement, who died in 2009.

Prior to moving to Little Compton, Florence lived most of her life in New Jersey, born to William H. and Florence S. Angle in Irvington, NJ. She worked as a dental assistant in Florham Park, NJ, for 30 years with the aforementioned Dr. Ferrante.

She is survived by her son, Craig P. Loihle.

A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 6, at 11 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 74 Simmons Road, Little Compton. She will be interred at Our Lady of Fatima Cemetery.
