Carnegie Abbey, considered among the finest sporting clubs in the world, is truly without peer in New England— there is no other property that offers residential living, golf, yachting, tennis, equestrian, spa, and world-class dining in one location. The centerpiece of this unique community is the Tower at Carnegie Abbey. Residents here enjoy a lifestyle rich in amenities yet with relaxed island living, full concierge service, and the classic luxury of Newport, Rhode Island.

Tower residences are available in a range of price points, from the mid-six figures to high-seven figures for a penthouse location. Virtually all residences enjoy the exceptional luxury of such features as 24-hour concierge service, a private gym and fitness center with access to a personal trainer, beach-style cabanas available for purchase, an outdoor spa, a lap pool and separate children's pool.

Inside the residences, 9-foot ceilings contain 7-foot windows, with breathtaking views of Narragansett Bay. Master bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms feature jetted tubs with stone decks and marble floors. Brazilian Cherry hardwoods, solid wood doors, and granite and marble kitchens showcase the high quality craftsmanship on display in each and every Tower residence. Select residences enjoy penthouse-style entrances with the elevator opening to a private foyer, some with private balconies as large as 300 square feet.

Meet our staff
Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
