Ferry service hearing continuation set for December

The hearing into whether or not A&R Marine should be a ferry provider to and from Prudence Island has been continued to Thursday, Dec. 5.

It will take place in Hearing Room A of the Division of Public Utilities and Carriers building, 89 Jefferson Blvd., in Warwick.

The hearing is a continuation from the initial hearing, which took place Tuesday. Legal counsel for A&R Marine presented its case, hoping to show the Division that it was fit, willing and able to be a lifeline ferry.

A&R Marine is seeking a certificate of public convenience and necessity, which will allow the company to provide ferry service from Bristol to Prudence Island.
