Evelyn J. Rodrigues Bruneau, 84, Westport

Evelyn J. (Michaud) Rodrigues Bruneau, 84, of Westport, passed away Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, surrounded by her loving family after a long illness. She was born in Fall River to the late Joseph and Rose Michaud.
She will be lovingly remembered by her family, including her husband William, daughter Jeanine (Jaye) of Jupiter, Florida, son Robert of Stuart, Florida, daughter Linda Lord (Christopher) of Boca Raton, Florida, and her beloved cat Dora. Also surviving are grandchildren Joshua Briere, Lisa O’Neil, Allyson Briere, Alicia Luke, Robbie Rodrigues, Lindsay Lord, Caroline Lord, great grandchildren Brian Oliveira, Skye Briere, Brittany Oliveira and Grayson Luke and great-great granddaughter Alexis Oliveira as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  Her in-laws were also very special to her and she often spoke of fond memories with them.  She also leaves behind William’s three daughters and a son and their families.  Evelyn was predeceased by her husband Joaquim (Jack), daughter Susan Briere, sister Doris Lussier and brothers: Armand, Raymond and Wilfred Michaud.
Visitation will be Saturday from 8 – 9:30 at the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Road, Westport, prior to the Mass. The Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, Dec. 15, at Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport at 10 a.m..
 Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
