Emily O’Brien, 96, Warren


Emily (Rose) O’Brien, 96, of Warren, passed away on Monday, July 21, 2014, at the Grace Barker Nursing Home in Warren. She was the wife of the late Richard O'Brien.

Born in Warren, a daughter of the late Jesse and Mary (Mello) Rose, she was a weaver for Berkshire Hathaway, and also an inspector for Carol Cable, before retiring in 1989.

Emily was a parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle Church and a lifelong Warren resident.

She leaves her daughters, Jane Albert and husband Phil of Barrington, Helen O'Brien of Attleboro and Noreen Dallaire; and her grandchildren, Liz Albert, Paul and Julia Albert and Jason Dallaire. Emily was the mother of the late Denis Dallaire of Riverside and sister of the late Mabel Rodrigues, Mary Teixeira and Jesse, Louis and John Rose.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 26 from Smith Funeral and Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road, with a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 500 Metacom Ave. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery.Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
