Elizabeth B. (Cardoza) Almeida, 98, of Bristol, died Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Silver Creek Manor in Bristol. She was the wife of the late Jerome Almeida.
Elizabeth was born in Bristol, a daughter of the late Manuel B. and Mary (Brown) Cardoza.
She was a machine operator for the former Smith's Manufacturing for many years.
A lifelong Bristol resident, she had attended church at St. Elizabeth Church. Mrs. Almeida was a talented seamstress, and a very good baker.
She is survived by her nieces Dorothy Canario of Bristol, Patricia Arel of Riverside, and Robin Vales of Bristol as well as many other nieces and nephews.
Elizabeth was the sister of the late Manuel Brown, John Brown, Joseph B. Cardoza, Mary R. Brown, Mary B. Ennis, Catherine Motta, Emily Lewis and Madeline B. Sousa.
A memorial Mass will be held Wednesday, July 25, at 9 a.m. in St. Elizabeth Church, 577 Wood Street, Bristol.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours and flowers are omitted.
