PORTSMOUTH — There will be an Eco-Depot collection of household hazardous waste on Prudence Island on Saturday, Oct. 21, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the island’s transfer station.
The items to be collected include:
• compact fluorescent light bulbs
• motor oil
• motor oil filters
• paint
• sharps/needles
• anti-freeze
E-waste event on Nov. 11
There will also be an e-Waste collection event at Portsmouth High School from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Nov. 11. Items to be collected include:
• computers and appliances
• phones
• stereos
• batteries
• coolant-containing items such as mini-fridges, air conditioners and dehumidifiers ($10 fee)
Items that won’t be accepted include light bulbs, broken TV tubes, single-use batteries, furniture, paper/Styrofoam, paint, chemicals/aerosol cans.
