East Providence Public Works reminds residents of holiday trash change

EAST PROVIDENCE — The East Providence Public Works Department, Recycling/Refuse Division announces that due to the Memorial Day Holiday no rubbish or yard waste will be collected on Monday, May 26.

All household rubbish and yard waste pick-ups will be delayed one day for the remainder of the week. Regular Monday collection will resume on Monday, June 2.

Residents are asked to have all materials at the curb by 6 a.m. on the day of collection. Please note week of June 2 is a recycling week.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far.
