East Providence Police seek information on robbery

EAST PROVIDENCE — East Providence Police are actively seeking a suspect and information for a robbery in city Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 6.

At approximately 12:40 p.m., police responded to the report of a robbery at the Walgreen's, 602 Warren Ave.  The male subject approached the pharmacy area of the store and demanded prescription medication. The suspect stated that he had a weapon, but, none was displayed. The suspect fled on foot in a westerly direction from the store with a small amount of prescription medication.

The suspect is a male of unknown race, medium build, with dark colored hair, and is approximately 5'5" to 5' 9" tall. The suspect was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt. No one was injured in this incident.
