East Providence is latest to announce Saturday-Sunday parking ban

Posted

EAST PROVIDENCE — The City of East Providence became the latest East Bay-area municipality to announce a parking ban Saturday, Feb. 16, into Sunday, Feb. 17, with an impending snow storm headed its way.

Three to five inches of snow is predicted over the next 24 hours, adding to the remnants of last weekend's blizzard that dropped nearly two feet of the white stuff on the city.

The East Providence Police announced the parking ban late Saturday afternoon. It takes effect at midnight and is currently set to end at 5 p.m. Sunday evening.
