East Providence Democrats ready April Business Meeting and Candidate Night

EAST PROVIDENCE — Chairman John Faria of the East Providence Democratic City Committee has announced that on Monday, April 28, at 6 p.m., the body will be meeting at the Riviera Inn Restaurant located at 580 North Broadway, East Providence, for the purpose of conducting an April Business Meeting and Candidate Night.

The meeting includes a "Meet and Greet" from 6 to 6:30 p.m. to give members a chance to speak on a one-on-one basis with the Democratic candidates interested in seeking office in the 2014 state election. Then available candidates will each speak for a 10-minute slot provided to them in advance.

Speakers will include candidates for Governor, Lt. Governor, Secretary of State, and the General Treasurer offices.

The East Providence Democratic City Committee will be voting for endorsements that evening. Together all look forward to having a very productive election year.

The Committees wishes each candidate running good luck and it looks forward to working with all elected officers.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986.
