East Providence City Council cancels Monday meeting

EAST PROVIDENCE — For the second time in as many dates, the East Providence City Council has canceled its meeting scheduled for Monday night, Feb. 3, because of the ongoing snowfall.

The meeting was moved up a day from its usual Tuesday evening date and time due to a scheduling conflict. The Council's last January meeting was also canceled due a snowstorm the same day.

Among the new items on the agenda which were slated to be discussed was the award of a bid for a new Public Works truck, a review of language for a planned Charter change ballot proposal on a mayoral form of government and a revision to an existing ordinance on taxation of property transfers.

The next regularly scheduled City Council meeting is Tuesday evening, Feb. 18, at 7:30 p.m.
