East Providence Animal Control runs adopt-a-thon Saturday, Nov. 17
EAST PROVIDENCE — East Providence Animal Control invites you to attend our annual Pet Adopt-a-thon on Saturday, Nov. 17, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This event will be held at 62 Commercial Way. Please come support the animals.
During the event, the $25 adoption fee will be waived. If you adopt an animal, you will be given a raffle ticket, and winners will be chosen at the end of the event. Winners will receive prizes from various companies that are donating for this event. If you are unable to adopt but would still like to support and help the animals, we will have a "Donation Station" setup in which donations will be accepted.

Information will be available on lost pets, dog licensing, low cost spay/neuter clinics, feline spay/neuter assistance program for East Providence residents, information on diseases canines and felines may carry, and information on wildlife. Refreshments will be served.
If you currently own animals, we ask that you please do not bring them with you during this event. Please feel free to post your own adoption story on our Facebook page, pictures may be included. The Animal Control Officers and all staff members of East Providence Animal Control would like to thank you for your support. Please come join this very special event and help these wonderful animals in need of good homes.
Donations of any kind are accepted. Donations may include, but are not limited to: blankets, towels, cat and dog cushions, stainless steel water bowls/buckets, food bowls, toys for all animals, treats for dogs and cats. Any kind of hard or soft dog/puppy and cat/kitten foods (unopened please) is appreciated. Kitty litter and litter boxes small enough to fit in the kennels, dog and cat leashes, harnesses, collars, any type, any size.
Other acceptable donations for smaller animals such as rabbits, birds, ferrets, etc. Any and all grooming supplies including flea shampoos and applicants, brushes, nail clippers, etc. Or even a gift certificate to a grooming salon of your choice. Pill pockets are always helpful to medicate the animals. Any kind of literature pertaining to the health and well being of animals. Non-colored/dyed newspapers, paper towels, cleaning supplies of any kind, laundry and dish detergent, etc. We are limited on what we have so anything donated helps out.
