East Providence Animal Control Center Pet of the Week: Toby

Posted

EAST PROVIDENCE — Toby is a brindle and white male Pitbull available for adoption at East Providence Animal Control Center. Toby came to our facility with his littermate Austin and we have been eagerly hoping to find a forever home. He has been neutered and vaccinated, and weighs approximately 49 pounds.

The veterinarian believes he is between 10 months to one year old. Toby is very friendly with staff and other animals. He is very energetic and strong, so obedience training is recommended.

If you are interested in Toby, please feel free to stop by the facility any day of the week, including weekends, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. We are located at 62 Commercial Way.

We also have other animals in need of good homes as well. You may see the pets we have available for adoption listed on Facebook or Petfinder.com. If you have any questions about adoption or need to speak with an Animal Control Officer regarding other issues, you may contact the staff at (401) 435-7675.

Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
