Dora R. Finnerty, 100, Westport

Dora R. Finnerty, 100, of Westport died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013, at Charlton Memorial Hospital.  She was the wife of the late Henry J. Finnerty Sr.

Born in Dover, NH, daughter of the late Moise and Mary H. Millette, she had lived in Westport since 1976.  Mrs. Finnerty was a communicant of St. George Church, Westport.  She loved working in the yard and enjoyed going for walks.

Survivors include two daughters, Patricia F. Gosselin of Westport and Kathleen J. Frates of Acushnet; a daughter-in-law, Lorraine Finnerty of Acushnet; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was the mother of the late Henry J. Finnerty Jr.; mother-in-law of the late Richard J. Frates; grandmother of the late Douglas Finnerty; great grandmother of the late Michael R. Frates; and sister of the late Irene Faber and Leonora Sandbach.

Per Dora’s wishes, private arrangements are under the direction of the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Road, Westport.
