Deolinda E. Aguiar, 85, Tiverton


Deolinda E. (Farias) Aguiar, 85, of Tiverton passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at St. Anne’s Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late William Aguiar. Born in Tiverton, she was a daughter of the late Francisco and Carlotta (Botelho) Farias.

Mrs. Aguiar was a communicant of St. Christopher Church in Tiverton.

She was the beloved mother of Robert Aguiar, Kenneth Aguiar, David Aguiar, Beverly Anne O’Brien and Carol Anne Perreira, all of Tiverton and the late William M. Aguiar. Loving grandmother of Nathan, Lauren and Justin Aguiar, James Perreira and Tiffany Moniz. Cherished great grandmother of Emma Rae Aguiar, Kyle St. Yves and Izabell Williams. She was the sister of the late Manuel, Joseph, Francisco Jr., Louis, Antone and James Farias, Delia Audette and Florence Orr.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated for Mrs. Aguiar on Monday, May 5, in St. Christopher Church, Tiverton. Serving as pall bearers were James K. Perreira, James E. Perreira, Michael Perreira, Nathan Aguiar, Scott O’Brien and Richard Travers.

Arrangements are by Pocasset Memorial Funeral Home.
