Dennis Woodcock, 66, Westport

Dennis Woodcock, 66, of Westport, died Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, at Spaulding Nursing & Therapy Center, Boston. Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Clarence and Margaret (Winters) Woodcock.

A veteran of the Vietnam War, he served his country in the United States Army and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for meritorious service.  Mr. Woodcock was the manager of the Westport Social Athletic Club.

Survivors include two sons, Dennis C. Woodcock of Washington and Timothy H. Woodcock of Massachusetts; a brother, Timothy Woodcock; a sister, Shawna Woodcock; two granddaughters, Lauren and Hailey; his former wife, Chom Ye Yi; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service, to which relatives and friends are invited, will be Thursday, Oct. 17, at Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport at 10 a.m.

Calling hours are Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. at the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Road, Westport.
