David W. Simonin Sr., 53, Westport


Worked at Home Depot, enjoyed motorcycles, cars

David W. Simonin Sr., 53, of Westport, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 6, 2013, at Charlton Memorial Hospital.

Born in Fall River, son of the late Joseph N. and Helen (Saucier) Simonin, he was a lifelong resident of Westport.

Survivors include his son, David W. Simonin Jr. of Westport; four brothers, Norman R. Simonin, Robert G. Simonin, William R. Simonin and Richard S. Simonin, all of Westport; his former wife, Dawn (Alix) Simonin of Fall River; and several nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Jerry K. Simonin.

Mr. Simonin worked at Home Depot in Dartmouth. He loved spending time with his family and friends and he enjoyed his motorcycles, cars and riding his four wheeler.

His funeral, to which relatives are invited, will be Monday, May 13, at 10 a.m. at the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Road, Westport. Calling hours will be Sunday from 5-8 p.m.

Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
