Coggeshall Farm in Bristol hosts Harvest Fair

At Coggeshall Farm’s 39th Annual Harvest Fair this weekend, enjoy a traditional New England autumn fair complete with demonstrations of historic trades, hands-on children’s crafts, unique local vendors, live music and entertainment and traditional games and competitions for all ages. Wear your flashiest rubber boots for the Muck Boot Fashion Show, prove your strength in the hay bale toss, test your endurance in the sawbucking competition or perfect your aim in the seed-spitting contest. This fair has all the flavor of the 18th century, updated for even the staunchest modern types.

WHERE: Coggeshall Farm, Coggeshall Farm Road, Bristol

WHEN: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 15-16

COST: $8 for adults, $5 for seniors and children ages 6-12 for non-members; $5 for adults, $3 for seniors and children ages 6-12 for members
