HUMAN RESOURCES INTERIM STAFFING BID NO. EP11/12 - 29

The City of East Providence seeks a qualified temporary staffing firm or firms to provide temporary Human Resources professional-level staff, on an hourly rate and full time basis for an initial term of 30 days with renewable 30-day option(s) to the City.

Bids will be received in the Office of the City Manager, City Hall, Room 102, 145 Taunton Avenue, East Providence, RI 02914-4505 until November 8, 2012 at 10:00 am at which time said bids will be publicly opened. Date/time stamps of 10:01 am or later will be rejected. Mark on the outside bid envelope with the bid number, bid title, and date/time of the bid.

A complete RFP may be obtained at the Office of the Purchasing Agent, Room 206, City Hall, East Providence, RI, Monday through Friday 8am to 4pm or downloaded from the City website at www.eastprovidenceri.net under Bid Information.

The City reserves the right to reject any/or all companies and to waive any informality in the responses based on what the City deems to be in its best inter- est.

Individuals requesting interpreter servic- es for the hearing impaired must notify the Division of Purchasing at (401) 435- 7571, seventy-two (72) hours in advance of the bid opening date.

Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
