NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING OF EAST PROVIDENCE BUDGET COMMSSION

RELATING TO CONSIDERATION OF A LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF EAST PROVIDENCE AND FORBES STREET SOLAR LLC AND AN OPTION AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND CME ENERGY, LLC

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Public Hearing in accordance with R.I. General Laws Section 44-3-9, will be held on September 20, 2012 in Room 306 at the City Hall, 145 Taunton Avenue, East Providence, Rhode Island at 3:00 p.m. The subject of the public hearing will be the consideration of a Lease Agreement between the City of East Providence and Forbes Street Solar LLC and an Option Agreement between the City and CME Energy, LLC, which Lease and Option Agreement provide that a component of the annual rental payments will represent a payment in lieu of taxes or stabilized taxes to the City in accordance with Rhode Island General Laws Section 44-3-9. Individuals requesting interpreter services for the hearing impaired or needing other special services must call 435-7500 or 431-1633 (v//tdd) forty-eight (48) hours in advance of the meeting date.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
