City Manager Graczykowski announces Elmasian as acting East Providence Fire Chief

EAST PROVIDENCE — In a press release issued late afternoon Friday, Dec. 28, City Manager Peter Graczykowski announced effective Dec. 30 at 4 p.m. Captain Oscar Elmasian, who currently serves as the City's Fire Marshall, will receive the appointment as Acting Fire Chief for the City of East Providence.

This is a temporary appointment which remains active until further notice and is contingent upon final approval by the Budget Commission

"While I have been honored to work with Chief Joseph Klucznik and am saddened by his departure, I am pleased to appoint Captain Oscar Elmasian to the interim position of Fire Chief.  Captain  Elmasian is a 25 year veteran who has served the City and its residents in an effective and efficient manner always displaying professionalism in every position he has held," said City Manager Graczykowski.
